el rio, a Los Angeles based quintet expressing resistance, love and revolution through Latin American folk rhythms. Backed by an array of winds, percussion, acoustic and electric instruments, the vocal melodies and spoken poetry form a spirited visceral dance.
Entre Mujeres: Translocal Musical Dialogues, is a translocal Son Jarocho project between Chicanas/ Latinas in the U.S and Mexican female musicians in Mexico. The project seeks to make the voices, ideas and translocal dialogues visible through music and song with themes of motherhood, women, and politics.
