Michael Dene wanted a pizza. Not delivery, not a freezer-section special. Michael wanted pizza how it was meant to be. He wanted a pie with a paper-thin crust and edges that bubble up into soft, crisp pockets of salty air. He wanted sauce so flavorful it could stand as a topping all on its own and cheese so fresh it simply had to be made by hand daily. As for the toppings, well, you’ll learn never to question a true Italian about his pizza toppings. They lie on sacred real estate. Let’s just say, if you’re craving pineapple or shredded carrots, we suggest you look elsewhere. If you are in search of an authentic Neapolitan-style pie like Michael Dene was, consider it found.
