The Stave

Description

A “Stave” Refers to the individual oak slats a cooper uses to make the sides of wine and beer barrels. “The Stave” Is an International wine and beer bar with delicatessen influences located on The Promenade in Downtown Long Beach. The Stave is a friendly neighborhood spot for residential & business communities alike - from upstairs, around the corner, down the street, neighboring communities, visiting or passing through Downtown. The Stave is indoor and outdoor – front and center is a social 60 ft angled wood bar, surrounding a dual compartment walk in refrigerator – direct pour draft beers in one, cheese wheels & cured meat logs in the other. Black vinyl booths & drink rails run around the perimeter of the room that features two roll up doors – one street facing, the other opening onto an expansive patio that hosts two bar height fire-pits encased by communal stone tables. A large canopy anchored by steel columns with gas lanterns sits atop one fire-pit. Bolted stools with a stone rail surround the patio. Dressed up or dressed down, we are for everyone – stop on by, take a break and share a laugh. We look forward to being a part of the community. Cheers.
